These beautiful blue berries from my Virginia Creeper Vine are like chocolate for the birds. There is a pair of Flickers that are gorging on them! All the other birds are enjoying them too, including a pair of Stellar Blue Jays. The Jays don't seem to sit still long enough for me to get a picture.
The vine is lush and green in the spring and summer and the berries are red. As the colder weather sets in the berries begin to turn blue and the leaves and stems turn red! I love that the birds get such enjoyment out of them.
